';God didn't create poverty, people did that one on their own. In reality, there is enough land and food for everyone if people didn't put a price on what God already freely gave us to have in the first place. Do the birds not get seeds when nobody feeds them? There is enough land on earth that everyone can have two acres of land for themselves, instead of a small square of land with a pool that we are brainwashed to thinking is ';good.'; There is enough seeds and animals that we can all eat and not be starving. But segregation changed all that. Why do you think there are blacks, whites, brown, etc? Does God not love variety? The same, there are so many different varieties of trees and personality. Don't blame the sins of your fathers as God's doing.';
It's in response to the answer I gave this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a>
Now, I'm not sure as to how I should answer this. I'm already pretty sure that reasoning isn't going to help me at all. Any suggestions/quick-witted people out there?Fellow Atheists... what should I say? *warning- crazy Christian rant enclosed*?
Who says that god created poverty? I wouldn't use that as an argument.
But I would like to know why he gave us pathogens like Ebola, HIV, and necrotizing faciitis. But I guess innocent people brought these upon themselves, didn't they?Fellow Atheists... what should I say? *warning- crazy Christian rant enclosed*?
*sigh* You say God is the creator of poverty. That's the equivalent of calling God the ';Author of Sin,'; which is a ridiculous notion. ';Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God; for God cannot be tempted of evil, neither tempteth he any man. But every man is tempted when he is led astray of his own desires and enticed.';-- James 1:13,14,17.
Well, if this person believe that her god created everything than I think she should agree that he created poverty.
But aside from religious nonsense, I actually agree with what she said. People are greedy and other people, animals, plants, the earth suffer because of it.
If nothing happens outside this so called god's will, why are people dying, getting raped and beaten, and starving everyday?
if he's like a ';father';, how can put his own ';children'; in horrible situations and watch them terrorize each other?
that's my main problem with ';god';. its not even purely scientific, its just the utter cruelty and pain in this world.
LOL....you know it all don't you. open your mind a little. This crazy rant has more to do with laws of nature than the existance of God. there is a book titled ';ishmael'; read it. you might learn something that they don't teach you in school...or sunday school.
In a way yes he did, he created people who have the potential to be evil and create poverty so therefore, indirectly yes it is his fault
Tell this self-righteous airhead that even the Lord Jesus said that ';The poor you will have with you always';.
That statement basically the truth... you have some problem with the truth???....
I know you have a problem with The Truth of God... but that is between God and you... There is not one mortal on the face of this earth who can prove, or disprove, God to you.... I know, with Absolute certainty that God is real... but I would never even try to prove it to you... that is not what God wants of His people...
as to your other ';question';(deliberate baiting of Christians).... the truthful answer is NOTHING... deal with it or bugger off.... give me one reason why I should even be concerned enough to try to help you find The Truth of God.... if you ain't interested you ain't interested... how ever....... it is The Word of God that I, and all of The True church, are to offer to assist any one open to God and seeking to come to Him.... so... in obedience to The One you do not believe in... I offer to you any assistance I can...should you ever come to honestly seek to know of God and His Word and Will for your life... I will do so honestly and without hesitation... when you come honestly seeking.... Because I know God
