Anyone else sick to death of Twilight? (not a rant)?

This isn't a rant, I promise. But am I the only one who is tired of seeing Twilight everywhere? I can't get away from it. I've read the series, and they're not impressive. The first one in the series (';Twilight';) was okay, don't get me wrong. But it was basically cliche, poorly written, and a lot of other things that I'm not going to start complaining about. I just don't understand why such a mediocre and possibly unhealthy story is getting so much hype when I'm sure we can all think of more deserving ones.





Any thoughts? Agree or disagree?

I like the story and it is the same as other teenage love stories its different and with a twist. The stories take unexpected turns and are unpredictable (well most of the are). The actual writing quality of the story isn't very good though like the grammar and stuff!


but i still love it!

agree, i fail to see the great obsession with it.
seeing it everywhere is what inspired me to actually take the time to find and purchase the book, which is surprisingly not that bad. However it does take up more space than should be aloted for a teen movie craze lol.
Well of course you see twilight everywhere, it is a new movie and there are lots of adverts everywhere because of it being a new movie so this is why you see it everywhere and I have no idea why you are so annoyed by seeing the adverts because that is how you advertise a movie so!

I agree its getting a lot of attention, and good for you for posting your opinion. But I am a twilight fan. My 13 year old sister got me into it and I somehow can't get out.


I think that the book has been wrote with compassion and a amazing vocabulary.

I disagree because Twilight is ANYTHING but cliche or poorly written. If that is poor writing, then I'd like to see something you have come up with. (No offence)


If Twilight wasn't such a great book, why would it have been a best-seller before the movie came out?


The story isn't ';unhealthy';, it just shows a different veiw of true love.


It's getting a lot of hype because it's better than any series out there, and the movie just supports how amazing the book was written.


I understand that maybe it's just not your type of story, but obviously it's just about everyone elses.
I never read the book, I never saw the movie. Somehow vampires don't seem to be that interesting to me. I don't care one way or the other about it.
ya i agree, i did like the movie tho, and i think it is crazy people are going so crazy over it the movie was not even that good but all the girls i know that have seen it are not really into the movie- just the dude that played in it lol but i have never read the book and i probable wont read it but ya and also they even have it all over the new thing for the PS3 called Ihome or something like that i final got on yesterday and they had it all over the place but all this crap dose not really bug me probable because when a nother movie like this comes out people will forget all about twilight for a little wall at least.

From what I understand the ';vampires'; in Twilight don't even fit in with the whole concept of vampires, they're just called them. That makes me wonder, had she not called them vampires would the books have been ANYWHERE as popular?

well, i just got into the whole twilight obsession over thanksgiving. i think the story is well written. i got completely sucked in to the story, and i want more(i've only read the first two). and it also depends on the kind of story you like. i love romance stories so this was nice to read because normally my parents won't let me read stories like that. but the story line was about a vampire and a girl so they didnt think it would be harmful. i just love the book. i probably will like the movie because i have no expectations for that.
I've never read the books. I do not care to see the movie. I am sick and tired of hearing about Twilight as well. I have a friend that loves the series. She thinks they're the greatest books ever.

I definitely agree with you. I've been tired of it months before the movie came out.
Yes!I like Harry Potter wayyyyy more.I couldn't even get through the entire book of Twilight because it was so slow.
it all depends where your looking. if youre on websites that are gonig to have ads about it then obviously youre going to see it. if you are at the movies, theres going to be signs for it.. people like the series, people are excited to read something they think is good. i think it all just depends what your interest are. you said you didnt really like it and that's fine. i know plenty of my friends who didnt like it or who didnt like the movie.





i personally have seen the movie about 4 times with my sister. but we started reading the books when they first came out a while ago. not just recently when the movie was coming out. so we were maybe a little more excited to finally see it. it does have a way of popping up though all over.





like i said, it all depends what you are looking for =P
