How get Custom Ringtones to work as text on Rant?

First off I'd like to state what I don't want:


-I do not want to use the internet, however if I could just download it from a text that's fine, but I really want to avoid that seems I don't have the internet, at least not on my plan


- I do NOT want to use a video b/c they don't work with texts





-I don't want to hack my phone





So here's the question Is it possible to get a custom ringtone to be used for incoming texts on the Samsung Rant 2 (540... I think)- I already know about rumkin, and ventones, again no internet. Also if I download it from a text will I get charged? Can I text it to myself and then save it as a ringtone? Is there anyway possible way to do it(doubt it)?
