I mean, they say that voting for a third party would be wasting their vote, yet they want to waste it for real by writing someone in?
The only thing I can understand about it is maybe their fear of splitting the vote... So rather than risking splitting a vote, they want to write someone in...Even that doesn't make a lot of sense, because they are not doing anything to prevent the candidate they don't want from being elected...Why will a lot of people not dream of voting for a third party, but rant about writing someone in on the slip?
I may not agree with their wasted vote, but I will always respect them for at least voting. Why will a lot of people not dream of voting for a third party, but rant about writing someone in on the slip?
Because Republicans gave corporations person-hood so they can give money to candidates. Because a third party cannot put up the money it takes to win against the two corporate funded candidates it is not worth it so we have to go with the party that is more likely to public funded election, these days Obama is the only one attempting to change the system.
I don't view voting third party or writing in a candidate as a ';wasted vote';.
To me the only wasted vote is the one not cast.
I am voting Libertarian this year because in the ';major'; parties all we have are two Democrats.
We make runoff voting a reality, and we don't have that problem anymore. The problem with implementing runoff voting? Those who have the power to change it are ultimately undermined by such a process.
Libertarians rule!! who cares if they don't have power they still have the bestr ideas imo.
I think alot of write in's consist of those who didn't win the parties nom....but i see your point
Short %26amp; sweet: We ALL want to vote for a ';winner';.
