an interesting question was asked in here earlier, which I answered using knowledge from my studies while also expressing my opinion on the matter. it might not have been the best point, but as far as psychology goes, it was accurate and i put my point across fairly
This person then wrote a comment saying that because I have multiple usernames (this is news to me!!!) my opinion and answer therefore do not count.
personally, i accept all answers regardless of how I feel about the person and I don't judge answers by my baseless suspicions
so, the question is, when you receive answers, are you biased towards certain users even though they might make excellent points?? does this influence the best answer system(ie. they have a great answer but you won't give it to them because you don't like them but will give the points another user who has a crap answer)?Do you disregard answers from users just because you don't like them?(*tiny rant inside but also a serious Q)
There are a couple of points here, there are a group of funloving people on here and a lot of their questions and answers are on the light side, which is good. There also many serious questions posed here as well. These ones I tend to look at the question rather than-who posted it.I f I feel I might have something worthwhile to add then I will. There are of course questions from some posters that I would never answer because of the torrent of abuse that I would receiveDo you disregard answers from users just because you don't like them?(*tiny rant inside but also a serious Q)
Good question Grumples. I tend to answer questions that I disagree with. Hense the lack of best answers . But seriously whats the point in answering questions that you do agree with .All you can say is, yes I agree with you. A bit pointless don't you think. ?
I can attest to that...MICHAEL W gave me his two cents worth once and it didn't hurt a bit,...and I'm a very sensitive guy...GACK!.....ok,even I can't swallow that but what is the point of answering Q's you agree with? It's...boring.
I have only ever asked a few questions on Yahoo - but I don't look at the respondents names, just the quality of their answer before deciding who to give ';best answer'; to...
i have only asked a feq questions...but ''no'' i dont..i give the 10 points to whom ever i thnk gave me the best answer i was looking for...i know what you mean..i have given what i thought were real good and qualified answer just to see some one else get the big 10...some have special friends where they exchange points with each other...but there are a lot of good people on here that give the points to the appropriate answer...go figure..its not a perfect world...
The only answer I disreguard are ones that are by people who always give false answers.
you bet ye I am.
