Now I know this is a long time ago, but as you all know Iverson had a bit of problem with practice again. So what do you guys think about the 2006 rant, cuz after rewatching it, I get the feeling he didn't even know what he was saying. The reporter asked him about Cheeks comment on him skipping practice, but he went into a rant about how games are games and practices are practices, which didn't really make sense with the question.
Lastly I think this is the type of attitude Iverson brings to a team, while he is a far superior player than Billups, but he doesn't have the ability to bring the right attitude that can actually help a team win games.
';HOW THE HELL CAN I MAKE MY TEAMMATES BETTER BY PRACTICE????'; LMAO!!!!Do you think Allen Iverson even knows what he is talking about in his 2006 ';PRACTICE'; rant?
Yeah, I think he knows what he's talking about. But even after that whole interview he still hasn't given a valid excuse to miss practice. Does KG miss practice?, does Kobe Bryant? I think he's a little bit pompus in that interview, because he thinks he's so good he doesn't need it. But he does, especially if he's trying to fit in with this Pistons team. Even if he didn't need the practice, it's part of his job to be there. I mean if other players who are better than him go to practice I think he should. So really Iverson didn't look very smart there.
When he says ';HOW THE HELL CAN I MAKE MY TEAMMATES BETTER BY PRACTICE????';
The answer is, by practicing WITH the team.Do you think Allen Iverson even knows what he is talking about in his 2006 ';PRACTICE'; rant?
yeah the last line was the funniest line in the interview
HOW THE HELL CAN I MAKE MY TEAMMATES BETTER BY PRACTICE classic
we always say this line in our practice because our coach also says that practice makes our teammates better
but i dont really care if he knew what he was talking about
the interview was legendary
--------------------------------------…
again man
WE TALKIN' BOUT PRACTICE
NOT THE GAME BUT PRACTICE
----------------------------------
lol you think Paul Pierce is cute haha jk.
first off yes that was inane his first interview.however the newiest practice thing is stupid from the team stand point.......these players make mlions yes but these players bring millions to the nba the teams..and having pratice on thanksgiving, when there is not a game.is just stupid in its self.the entire us have the dam day off..not really but you get the point most people do have the day off......and these game(footballl, basketball) that are on these days have got to piss the players off ......just think if you had to work on thoses days......and you will say well they make mllions........my point is money does not replace family and so i say hell yeah iverson......take that day with your family.....
Back then, it didn't really mean much lol. He didn't go to practice, and that's probably why the 76ers fell. But as for the recent practice problem, I don't blame him. As much as the Pistons want to win, it was Thanksgiving! Forget the practice and let the players spend the day with their families.
I think iverson knew exactly what he was talking about. In more simple terms he basically said If i miss a practice it doesnt matter because practice doesnt amount to the effort i give when it comes game time. A.I. is probably the most underrated player in the NBA. Even being in the NBA for 12 years he is still missunderstood by many. Go A.I.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol, that speech or rant was hailarious, i watched it yesterday with my friends and we were laughing alot.
It seemes like he knew what he was saying in the begginginng but then just lost it in the middle and end.
';but we talking about practice man';
lol, love it
:)
they didnt even asked him why he missed 1 practice. Im not gonna judge him until i find out what he was doing. Maybe one of his children had a problem idk, everyone has reasons, I mean my dad skips work once a time when im having a bad time. At least i know that he will be there for me.
lol wtf. what are we talkin about? practice. and the 21... 21 1/2.
yeah this is like hotsauce from and1 too. the whole team was gettin up him cause he didn't come to practice. but what's practice when you can still kill suckas on the court? practice if for those who suck
I ithink the practice rant happened around 2002 or 2003 and yeah I thought it was hilarious. His attitude towards practice is still not good but it is better now than then.
I wouldn't want him on my team and I've felt that way since he was a Georgetown. Only a moron would ask how his practicing would help his teammates get better.
no..i thought it was cute..[the interview]..lol.
that was so stupid..i thnk hes just stupid..stupid stupid stupid
why you asking about practice
I dont care, All i know is A.I will still be a beast with ';PRACTICE'; or not.
My bad I missed the part when Kobe was introduced to the thread:
';EDIT: But see, getting injured is not a choice, and I feel bad for any one who gets injured too, including Kobe.... but rape is pretty bad, and I don't feel sorry for anyone who rapes a woman... IDK about you, but my moms raised me not to like Rapists.';
And who did he rape. I was under the impression that Kobe has not been convicted of any crime. Not even a traffic violation. My mom taught me not to like overpromiscious women with more than one man's semen in their underpants that like Anal and people who support them.
I actauclly support A.I in this ...i mean really how the hell are u suppose to make UR TEAMMATES better by practice ..u can make ur self better by practice but some one else i dont think thats possible...and also he was frustrated about how they kept going on him about practice every time they interview him.
and also u said he doesnt have the ability to bring the right attitude thats false.
becuz he does what ever it takes to make his team win....he might no guard the 7 foot center but he does every thing he can to help his team win...why do u think he play when he is injured ?? i think the media has just hate on him for the fact that he is not being who they want him to be or what they want him to look like.
Yeah.
I also thought this one was funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSamEqtPV…
EDIT: But see, getting injured is not a choice, and I feel bad for any one who gets injured too, including Kobe.... but rape is pretty bad, and I don't feel sorry for anyone who rapes a woman... IDK about you, but my moms raised me not to like Rapists.
