the formula company shipped my sons special formula to the WRONG address and never notified me. so after calls and calls i found out it was being held for me in an office and i had until 4:30pm today to get it. i found this out at 3:30pm. there was no possible way i could get to it, asked my friends, no possible way they could get it. so i bite the bullet and text my sons aunt cuz my sons father wouldnt answer if the fricken world was ending. i know she got the text cuz she's always with her phone. she didnt text me back even to say she couldnt go. she doesnt work, nor does her mom, and nor does her other sister. so obviously they just dont care if my son eats. anyways....so now i only have less than a can of formula left, i cant get the shipment til monday. he's going to go through this can by sunday if not midday tomorrow. he throws up all other baby food. its special formula for his medical condition.
what can i do?? what can i feed him when i run out???I need food ideas for a 7month old who has no formula and to rant a bit?
one time when i ran out of formula (it was just over night and i didnt have a ride) i just gave my son mashed potatoes that i had broke down with milk untill it was thin enough to flow out of a bottle. Im not sure how your baby might react to it. My son did just fine, just dont add any extra ingredients like butter or salt, and if you can use fresh potatoes would probably be the best.
I wish you lived close to me...Id surely give you a few cans just to get by...(im on the west coast) Good luck :(

I should have read this question first..sorry! I like busy mommies idea of calling and asking a local hospital, they may be able to help you out some if you explain the situation.. or to make the formula last a little longer..and i'm shure people won't agree with this either, add some cereal to it and then scoop it out like you would the formula.. just make sure mix it up really good!
Honestly i dont see why yoru mad at your sons aunt, its not her fault, and so she didnt answer her phone, its not her fault. Well you cant just let your baby starve so your either gonna have to go get a can of formula from a store or call the dr.
Your son's doc's office might be closed, but there is always a doc on call. Talk to that doc. If all else fails go to Children's Hospital (if there is one near enough) and ask them for some sample cans. They will be more than willing to send you home with enough to get you by.

if he has special dietary needs the only person you can get a good answer from is his doctor... NO ONE here should advise you of anything different because NO ONE here know your son's special needs
call his doctor and ask him what OTC formula would work just as well until Monday.
I'm sorry to hear you're having problems. You know... children's hospitals especially PICU/NICU carry every formula imaginable...I would call them explain the situation and ask for some (it's donated to the hospital through the formula companies, you shouldn't HAVE to pay for it) I was suprised they had my daughter's super expensive formula when she was in PICU because the normal hospital ped floor didn't have it...
Mashed sweet potato, or regular potatos, bananas,etc

Anyway, I'd give your son's pediatrician a ring. If they don't come up with anything, is there a children's hospital within an hour or so of your house? If so, I'd give them a ring and see if they can give you some formula to hold you over until Monday. They likely have the special formula that your son needs.
If all else fails, bite the bullet and go straight to your son's father's house to see if the formula is there. Good luck!
Tell this to the people who have the formula leave out the stuff about the family member ask some noe to hang out alittle longer or put the box out side and hop on the bus.

A close friend of mine and my BF seems really close? this is a rant, read if you like, i'd like if you answer?
me and my boyfriend used to be really sweet, and then a girl came into our lives. she soon became a very close friend of mine, and she always tells me her problems and stuff like that, we are very close. but i also know at the same time that she and my boyfriend are very close too. she would tell me that my boyfriend told her this and that over the phone, or my boyfriend would tell me stuff like they just hung out or she's going thru this n that. it really hurts sometimes, or am i just too clingy? i sometimes go on trips and he does too. recently, i went on 2. when i came back on the first one a month after not being with him, he confessed to me that he started to have feelings for her, but now that i'm back, i'm still his number one and he loves me so much. and then then he went on a trip a few months after that, before he came back, i had to go on one too. so he came back earlier than i did. and when i came back, my boyfriend told me my friend was in a bad mood and being very mean to him. i said to him, is she always like that now? and he said no, she just got moody. i know they've been hanging out again, and she's in a bad mood because i came back and now my boyfriend would be with me more. well to cut it short my girlfriend now wife was in the same situation.she had a best friend which was a guy she hung out with him all the time but when he got with his girlfriend things changed.his girlfriend was jealous and didnt want my wife to hang out with him anymore,so my wife lost a close friend and never went back.now he is miserable,and i believe he married her and then got a divorce all because she was jealous.so all i can say is if you love him believe in him and give him his space but always ask as if you want too know about the other girl dont assume something is going on.thx hope too help and good luck

I think you should drop your boyfriend straight up. Him and your friend obvoiusly have a thing going on for eachother, and he clearly isn't doing what he should be doing in your relationship. You should get him to be more honest with you because from your story, it sounds like he's lying. It sounds like he just doesn't wanna upset you, but in reality I think he has more feelings for her than for you (no offence, i'm just giving my honest opinion).
Believe me, you're not his ';number one'; anything. Guy's are kind of jerks when it comes to sh*t like that... If he can walk out on you after being away from you, just to comfort her, then he's lying to you.
You should probably do your best to get out of that relationship before this gets any more screwed up. It seems like, at this point, staying will just cause you more problems. I'm sorry for some of the answers you're getting. But I really think the solution is obvious here. You need to salvage at least some of your dignity, %26amp; get rid of your boyfriend. You say he likes her ';as a friend now';, but what gives you the evidence to make that assumption? Everything he's expressed to you so far has proven otherwise. The fact that SHE is now in a relationship does not necessarily mean that HIS feelings for her have gone away.
I really think you should give your boyfriend the boot, but if you REALLY want to keep him...you're going to have to give him an ultimatum. Cut off contact with your friend (she doesn't really sound like she's a true friend to you, to be honest) or lose you as a girlfriend. If he chooses her...well, then you know where his loyalties lie.

But to the answer, I've been in the role of the girl you're describing, though the timeline was different- eventually, I became my best friend's wife's best friend, and he and I became less close as a result. But, I know that my relationship with her was completely platonic, and that I helped them work through a lot of their marital issues, whether he knew about it or not; since most of the time he was too proud to ask my advice, I would pass it on through her, when she told me she didn't know what to tell him.
My point is that this girl may be a valuable friend to your boyfriend. Maybe not. Maybe she's just a bizarre dysfunctional individual, but you probably don't know the whole story either way. Not really sure that talking to the man will even resolve anything, because if he's already been honest with you, then nothing he can say will reassure you; and, if he's been lying to you, he'll just keep on.
You need to simply make a decision, as to whether you are comfortable with him having a close female friend besides you. If not, then it's ultimatum time, just tell him that he has to choose between you, and be prepared for the heartbreak if he chooses her.

Dear Hall Monitor of R/S, Are you really that ignorant of the fact that we are allowed to ask any questions we want on any section of Yahoo?
It is not against the TOS. Yahoo simply stated that we will probably get better answers if we ask our questions in the sections that specialize in the subject matter of our questions.
This is my home section; I have very intelligent friends on here who I respect. Therefore, I figure I will get better answers on here, on just about any subject.
Btw “Hall Monitor”, you violated the Yahoo Terms of Service by

if you are asking a question which is ridiculing or mocking someone's faith, then I believe they have the right to ban you or at least give you a warning. Some questions are so crude that it begs intelligence. I believe if everyone is courteous to one another, they would probably not report same.

Some of my BEST answers have been responses to silly questions that the asker has realized that the question COULD have been taken seriously and answered in that manner. So, PLEASE, cut it out for a while, won't you? Take your petty dislikes elsewhere and settle your differences in a mature manner and stop using the rest of us to forward your silly agenda.

It is not against the TOS. Yahoo simply stated that we will probably get better answers if we ask our questions in the sections that specialize in the subject matter of our questions.
This is my home section; I have very intelligent friends on here who I respect. Therefore, I figure I will get better answers on here, on just about any subject.
Btw “Hall Monitor”, you violated the Yahoo Terms of Service by
(1) Questioning if someone’s question does or does not meet your approval.
(2) By collecting 2 points and not answering the posted question you would also be in violation of the Yahoo Guidelines, it is called point gaming.
(3) By questioning someone’s right to ask a question, you have also broken all social standards of a civilized world.

Trying to reason with these people only encourages them. It gives them a buzz, because they know they're getting to you.
It's best to just go on about your business as if you didn't even notice you were reported. They will get sick of trying to get a reaction out of you and will eventually move on to someone they CAN get a reaction from.
Either that, or take a two month vacation from R%26amp;S and then come back with a new avatar and new user name and only divulge who you are to VERY trusted people. if you are asking a question which is ridiculing or mocking someone's faith, then I believe they have the right to ban you or at least give you a warning. Some questions are so crude that it begs intelligence. I believe if everyone is courteous to one another, they would probably not report same.
The irony as I see it Uncle is that we have to lower ourselves to their level in order to defend ourselves.
They truly detract from the enjoyment I receive here.
I put a lot of thought and time into some of my answers, and it's not fair that the questions are deleted to satisfy some juvenile mindset.

First off, there was a huge racial undertone in the movie, and Keanu Reeves plays a ';white boy,'; as everyone referred to him, that is racist. He is f*cking 1/4 chinese, 1/4 hawaiian, and 1/2 white, so how the f*ck am I supposed to take the movie seriously when they don't even have a 100% ';white boy'; playing a fu*king ';white boy.';

He sent it to the studio, didn't hear from them for sometime, and caught wind... either through the trailer for the film or some other way that this was the screenplay he had written. I don't know how much of the screenplay was changed to what you see in the final film, but the basic plot was his. He was in litigation w/ the studio this past spring, so he was not able to go into detail about certain things.
I think this is what happens when studios steal a persons
screenplay.....the film blows.
